Did you know the history behind the enneagram personality test?
“The Enneagram is comprised of a diagram listing the numbers one to nine. The diagram has lines that connect each number to two other numbers. According to the Enneagram Institute, the nine numbers represent the so-called “nine divine forms” found in Gnostic teachings. Gnosticism, you may recall, was the heresy that the Apostle Paul refuted in the Book of Colossians. These nine forms of the Enneagram supposedly represent man’s perfect essence in unity with Divinity.” (Click the link to read more).
Just to be clear, I don’t think there is anything wrong with wanting to dive in and figure out more about yourself. Personality tests have revealed a lot of good to me and others. It’s hard to self evaluate sometimes to determine your own strengths and weaknesses. So I do believe finding tools to help with that can do a whole lot of good. Thankfully there are other resources out there that do not have satanic roots and are helpful to use. The drawing of the personalities and how they connect always struck me as strange, now it makes a lot more sense.
